In order to be evaluated for the final examinations, the students need to complete two assignments covering pharmacy and therapeutic concepts. The detailed syllabus for the course is as follows:
Introduction to pathophysiology and therapeutics covering 1 hour
Prescription guidelines for different population groups such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and hepatically challenged patients. The duration will be 4 hours.
Anatomy, pathogenesis, diagnostic technique, clinical manifestation, and pharmacotherapeutics of diseases such as hypertension, ischemic heart diseases, congestive heart failure, and hyperlipidemia. As this covers many topics, the duration of the course will be around 15 hours.
The third topic is anatomy, pathophysiology, diagnostic techniques, and clinical manifestations for respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, and drug-induced pulmonary diseases and endocrine diseases such as diabetes and thyroid diseases. The duration is for 20 hours.
After completion of the course, students will be able to achieve many learning outcomes.
