Aim of Assessment:

This assessment task provides students the opportunity to reflect on their understanding of nursing leadership in clinical practice. The aim of the assessment is to develop student’s ability to present work effectively through using visual and verbal presentation skills.

Details:

This video presentation requires students to reflect on ideas and theories of leadership in health care. In your presentation you will need to:

· Present your definition of nursing leadership which draws upon contemporary literature

· Explain why nursing leadership is important in your clinical environment

· Identify one of your preferred leadership styles and why Suggested ideas to help you prepare your presentation:

Create a PowerPoint presentation that:

· Includes Introduction, overview and a conclusion slide

· Includes slides which address the presentation details stated above

· Includes between 5 to 8 visually captivating slides

· Includes a verbal delivery which holds the audience attention

Create a YouTube clip of your presentation.

· When you are satisfied with your final written transcript of your presentation and you have practised it several times to check you have stayed within the time limit, you will need to create a YouTube version of your presentation.
