ISIT946 Project and Change Management

Groups can select any aspects of IoT big data projects and big data change management projects for analysis, including adoption and diffusion of big data technologies, design, implementation, use of big data analytics tools, cloud-based big data storage, training, and/or impact of big data on organizational performance.

The organization for your case study can be either an established business firm or a startup firm that operates in the private-sector. Alternatively, it can be a government agency that has adopted IoT and/or big data technologies/big data analytics tools for enhanced public services such as smart mobility, transport, energy, healthcare among others.

Requirements:

The full project can explore the question on CSF in one of the following five domains using any of research methods:

1. Systematic literature review of both academic literature and other publicly available documents such as Government Accountability Office (GAO)

2. Secondary source case studies published in the academic databases

3. Secondary source case studies, for example, published in the textbook (G.5 or G.4), which will be augmented with further more detailed information gathered from GAO, Australian National Audit Office, Audit General of Canada, National Audit Office (the U.K.), Comptroller and Audit General of India, Director of Audit of Hong Kong or other relevant government agencies responsible for audit of national projects including IT projects

4. A case study using primary source data collected from website(s) including PMI

5. An application development project, including the scope statement and scope reporting
