Reflective essay

Students are to reflect on their placement answering the following questions:

1. How did you during your placement experience (this or other placements) partner with older people in the planning, delivery and evaluation of integrated health management?

2. From a context of ability and disability what physiological changes associated with ageing did you see affecting consumers? How was this addressed/managed in the clinical context you were in?

A nursing reflective model such as Borton’s needs to be used.

Students can combine these two questions into one academic reflective piece using the model or two separate pieces. Headings may be used. Student should consider the concepts taught throughout the unit when writing this assessment.

• Describe and discuss the physiological changes associated with ageing in the context of ability and disability.
