Task:

Assignment Outcomes

This is an individual assignment. It requires multiple outputs to be created to exhibit your understanding of business intelligence/data analysis through an example ‘real world’ question that is comparable to what you may be asked of you as you become an IT professional.

Key outcomes to be delivered are:

• The Technical Analytics part: Data Modelling/ETL to get the data in a usable format, Output of your analysis.

• The Business Intelligence part: Business requirements, reporting and suggestions resulting from the analytics.

They both result in a report summarising your findings and a presentation to the class of your work. The presentation is expected to concentrate more on your findings/recommendations as if it were a situation where you are presenting the response to the CEO. Remember that the statistics and answers you obtain have to provide information and they will be used as a basis for your business intelligence suggestions and recommendations to the CEO and the Board of BIA Incorporated.

This is an individual assignment and NOT a team assignment. While you can base the initial work as an extension of the star schema and the report your team developed in assignment one, this is an individual assignment so remember to avoid any plagiarism beyond the initial work developed by your team in assignment one, as this will be heavily penalised.

Assignment Question

The CEO of ‘BIA Inc’ had been speaking to the Sales Executive and had heard about some recent work you had completed and thought you might be able to assist them with a problem they have.

You are required to upload all files in a single zip file via blackboard to the Assignment Two TurnItIn in the Assignment 2 folder by noon (AEDST) Thursday 21st November (note that this is daylight saving time)
