The report needs to identify, analyse, evaluate and make recommendations on six of the following issues: ?

Information technology
Knowledge and innovation management
Marketing
Human resource management
Operations and supply chain management

Task:

Your analysis and recommendations must be based on reliable data so that you can engage in well informed critical discussion. Therefore, you are strongly encouraged to check availability of data before choosing the MNE. Where data is lacking, you may make assumptions and inferences but you should note your assumptions and inferences in the report.

Your report should explain how the organisation approaches each of the above management issues (rather than simply describing the organisation) and use theories and issues covered in this course to explain why such approaches are being used as well as possible changes. In your discussion you should also comment on how the different approaches used impact on the MNEs efficiency and effectiveness.

This assessment requires you to work independently and collaboratively to analyse strategies to manage multiple cross-border operations and engage in inquiry processes to understand the management and organisational challenges of coordinating cross-border operations. It is further designed to build on your understanding of how the management of cross-border operations impact upon the management functions of human resource management, marketing, information management, operations and supply chain management.
