Factors Influencing Time And Cost Overruns In Construction Projects Throughout Worldwide

What I intended to explain here is:

1)Factors affecting proposed project budget and time.

2)Different factors influencing cost overruns and time overruns in different countries.

3)Analysing built environment in different countries and conclude the reasons behind cost and time overrun.

4)Explaining how time and cost overruns occurring in a project, dividing it by different phases. And explaining it by using pictorial view.

5)In this research I’m very interested in analysing data between countries like India (developing) and Australia(developed).

6)Finding whether government organisations and environmental organisations are also one of the reasons behind time and cost overruns (Government projects and some private projects).

7)I’m going to explain methods that are adopting by countries to overcome these issues.

8)I’m going to explain how time can influence cost overrun in different projects in different countries.

9)I’m going to explain factors affecting the project at different stages and rank them. And explaining frequency of factors at each stage and showing it in a pictorial view.

10)Explaining and showing cost overruns percentage in a table that how much each factor involved in a project generally.

11)Finally I’m going to explain how different countries act on cost and time overruns to mitigate them.

Weekly schedule for doing this assignment:

1)Week 4: Revise and finalise two pages assignment proposal and submit for approval.

2)Week 5&6: will start the study and search for information and read case studies familiar to my assignment.

3)Week 7&8: will read required textbooks, gather information from journals, blogs, magazines and newspapers and get extra supportive information.

4)Week 9&10: Will go through our Swinburne library and get some information to have a clear-cut idea to finalise the information to write my assignment.

5)Week 11: I’m going to read case studies and I’m going to make some investigation on case studies that I’ve been studying through out these weeks on completed project or ongoing project to complete my assignment.

6)Week 12: Finalise all the data and submit the report.
