Assignment Overview

This assignment is designed to assist your research process by introducing you to the key areas that other students have highlighted in their research. This will give you an opportunity to consider a greater breadth of research material than simply that which you undertook. This process highlights the opportunities and benefits that collaborative work can bring to a task.

Your Unit Coordinator will provide you with a sample of de-identified PowerPoint presentations to annotate.

Assignment Details

Select four PowerPoint presentations to annotate from those uploaded by your Unit Coordinator. 

My topic is 

Indigenous Young People, the same topic as A1 and annotate them for research purposes. You should review your chosen presentations and draft a short summary of each presentation highlighting the key points that you would use, or that you think should be used in the final essay. The purpose of this assignment is to consolidate your preparation for the final essay.

In reviewing your chosen presentations, (Indigenous Young People) you may make initial notes directly into the PowerPoint slides as shown in the video in the Supporting Resources section below, or simply draft your notes into a Word document. You should submit your final assignment as a Word document, making clear reference to the file names of the presentations that you have chosen at the beginning of each annotation (e.g. 'Annotation 1 – Indigenous Young People Presentation 1'. Then 2, 3, 4, slides plus Bibliography

Please note that this is the point at which you can make a final decision on which final essay you will write. In the case that you stay with your initial choice “Indigenous Young People” then you would annotate the four postings from the same topic.
