Produce a fully referenced reflection on your current target career area, exploring a relevant Future Work Skill and self-assessment methods. The reflection consists of three sections:
1. Career Development Theory
2. Future Work Skill
3. Methods and Learnings
This report is to be written in a blend of academic and personal reflection (first person) writing styles. The report must be original and correctly referenced (APA or Swinburne Harvard style).
What you need to do:
1. Career Development Theory: Demonstrate your understanding of the Happenstance Learning Theory of Careers (Krumboltz, 2009) by using it to explain how you came to be interested in your target career area.
2. Future Work Skill: Refer to the two readings on Future Work Skills 2020 (Fidler 2016; Davies et al., 2011) and choose ONE of the ten skills that you believe is RELEVANT to your target career area and briefly describe:
a. WHY this Future Work Skill is relevant to your target career area
b. EVIDENCE of your level of competence in the skill, using the STAR model.
3. Methods and Learnings: Drawing on the content cover in this unit, briefly describe how you derived this information about yourself and how this type of reflection might inform your career planning.
