The Individual Assignment task
1. Download the PITA User Notes document, and the PITA software from the ACC80006 webpage.
2. Read the User Notes document, and then install PITA (“as Administrator”) on your home PC.
3. Register yourself for an Exam Mode case study, then generate and solve a PITA case study having the preference settings shown below:
4. Print the one-page Report Card via the “Report” button. Do not print anything else e.g. case information or financial data. Remember you can only print at a computer that has the PITA software installed.
5. Save your case study program file to disk. Exit the program. Use your student ID number and name as the file name. (The file will automatically be given the extension ".pte")
6. Carefully check the saved case study program file is not corrupted. Do this by retrieving the case into the PITA program via the “Load Saved Case” menu button. Test that all saved case study screens can be accessed from within the PITA program. It is important that you do not upload a corrupted saved case study program file to the website as it will not be accepted, and will render your assignment unacceptable.
7. Scan the printed Report Card and save it as a single PDF document that includes the completed and signed Cover Sheet downloaded from the website. Make sure that all case details are complete and clearly visible on the scanned document.
9. Using the Compulsory PITA assignment upload link provided on the ACC80006 website, upload the following TWO items by the due date:
(i) the case study Report Card, and the Cover Sheet, as a single PDF file
(ii) a copy of the saved case study program file (a “.pte” file)
The saved case study program file will be used to verify your case study Report Card. Before uploading the saved case program file, please ensure you have fully carried out Point (6) above.
10. Assignments sent via email attachment, or as hardcopy, will not be accepted, and will therefore not be considered as having been submitted.
