A case study is a scenario in a specific professional and business context in which you are required to analyse and respond to various issues.
Case analysis requires that you deeply investigate the main issues. You have to identify problems and evaluate concernsin the specific context, using supporting evidence and applying knowledge from different theories. You will be required to make methodical and focused decisions and recommendations to either resolve or to prevent some of the challenges and issues faced in that scenario.
For this group assignment, you are required to undertake a case study of McDonald’s Corporation. Use the information provided and follow the directions and specific questions to complete this assessment in your group. Please note that 10% of your marks will be based on how effectively you work in a group.
Organisations are open systems that must establish and maintain effective linkages with their environments to gain the necessary resources, information and legitimacy needed to function, survive and thrive. These organisational and environmental relationships define an organisation’s strategies and are affected by particular aspects and features of the various environments.
Using the Organisational and Environmental Framework in Chapter 8 of Textbook, discuss and analyse:

Evaluation is concerned with providing feedback to OD practitioners and organisation members about the progress and impact of change interventions. The evaluation processes consider whether an intended change intervention has been implemented successfully as intended, and if it is producing the desired results. Such information may suggest the need for further diagnosis and modification of the change initiatives, or it may show that the change intervention is successful.
With the Process of Organisational Change in Chapter 5 of textbook, and Figure 5.8 Implementation and Evaluation Feedback, discuss and assess:
How effective are the planned change initiatives at McDonald’s in meeting the purpose and reasons for the change?
In bringing about important alignments between the organisation and its competitive, complex and dynamic environments, the organisation must focus on changing the way it views itself and its environments. The results are a clear strategic mission for the organisation, as well as action plans for influencing the environment in favoured directions.
Applying consideration for Restructuring Organisations and Work Designs in Chapter 8 of textbook, together with Competitive and Collaborative Strategies in Chapter 11, brainstorm in your group to identify possible options and make recommendations in this discussion:
