CMS203: Audiences, Users and Participants

It is important to maintain high ethical standards when conducting research. There are some specific considerations to take into account when you are researching human beings rather than doing textual analysis. This checklist will provide an introduction to the important considerations for any project involving human research. You will need to complete one column on the checklist for each of your three chosen methods. If your methods uses human participants (e.g. survey), then you must complete a column for each one. If one of your methods does not use human participants (e.g. content analysis) then just tick the box for question 1a and leave the rest of the column blank.
