Your Task

There are two core components to this activity: to develop a draft report framework (plan) as a group inclass activity and then using that framework (plan) create an individual report based on the management

challenges faced by Multi-National Companies (MNC’s) in a Global Business Environment. Student might consider looking at one of the large Multinational Accounting/Financial/Auditing Consulting Frims.

Assessment Description

PART A (In-Class Draft Report Framework)

In Week/s 3/4 in-class groups (of 4 students) will be formed and the group will need to select a Multinational (MNC) Australian Company. Australia’s top 200 listed on the Australian SecuritiesExchange (ASX) https://www.asx200list.com/ and the International Fortune 500. Will help you select an MNC.

As part of the in-class activities, you will develop a group draft report framework (that must be signed off by your lecturer) to assist you in preparing your individual report. Each student will individually submit a copy of their signed group framework via Moodle and their individual report via Turnitin.

PART B. (Individual)

Based on your research on the, you will be able to address the following:

1. How does your chosen MNC manage in the Global environment?

• Include at least one example related factor and one way in which its success could be measured

2. What are the key constraints faced by your chosen MNC is your selected MNC trying to improve its culture?

• Include at least one culture-based initiative in operating in a global environment

3. What key initiatives has your chosen MNC in place to address its social responsibility and managerial ethics obligations.

• Include at least one example of social responsibility and managerial ethics?

The group-work in-class component will provide you with an opportunity to assess your choice of MNC and its operations in a Global environment.
