Opening Statement:

In 2018 Snapchat advertised an online advert titled “Would You Rather?” A seemingly innocent game of scenarios. However the offending advert was in fact poking fun or blatantly drawing attention to itself out of the controversy of a court filing against singer Chris Brown against girlfriend Rihanna about the domestic violence that had deemed to have taken place between the couple in 2009.

As this advert drew criticism due to insensitivities about the content of Domestic Violence being promoted on a social media platform, it was subsequently withdrawn from Snapchat, but not before it had been viewed by many of Snapchats target audience
