Overview of CARE

CARE Australia is a non–profit agency helping in relief from disaster and dealing with the factors of global poverty.
It is one of the 12 national members of CARE International, which is the world’s largest international organisation.
In 1987, it was founded by former Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser who led it until 2002.
Its projects are funded by donation from the communities, and also by the support from institutional partners such as the European Union, the government of Australia, and the World Health Organisation.
In 2008, 88% of CARE Australia’s total of its revenue was utilized in the overseas projects.

If I am a student and I had to act as a professional then:

I don't have to spend money if I can't. I can give them my time.
Some of the activities which I can do are:
Teaching: I need to go to orphanages and teach any subject of my choice to the children there.
Whenever there is a crisis I can help others by collecting.
By visiting old age homes and spend some time with the people there.
By conducting events or competitions for them.

Contribution of the organization towards the global community

CARE's aim is to take care of the individuals and families of the poor communities in the world. It is done by:
