Globalization and advances in technology and transportation have led to an increase in financial stability and the ability to travel across the world. This has led to the increase in demand for investment on the property and created a property development boom in developing economies. This has also led to a high demand for skilled labour within the construction industry thus making it critical for companies to increase labour productivity but also retain their interest while reducing labour turnover rates. To achieve these construction companies have had to adopt certain Human Resource Management Approaches which help labour productivity and maintain high morale while at the workplace. This report shall explore these strategies and pinpoint approaches constructions companies must adapt to ensure increased labour productivity.

The following Resources shall be reviewed and Data compiled to develop a comprehensive report detailing strategies and approaches of how Labour Productivity can be increased in the construction industry.

The author provides a detailed perspective related to factors which influence labour productivity on the West Bank in Palestine which is a region which is constantly experiencing violence and conflict. This places considerable pressure on construction workers in the region. Data has been compiled from 59 contractors working in the regions through detailed questioner which covered 31 factors which influenced construction employee productivity in the region. The Data is then compiled to deliver a clear data sheet and approaches that can be considered to improve construction worker productivity on West Bank Construction sites.

The Term We have used on Google Scholar to locate relevant resources is “construction employee productivity”. I have further narrowed the search by limiting the resources from 2013 to 2017 which have helped deliver the latest research and data to be used on the assignment.
