Question:

Disasters, natural or otherwise, have a significant impact on health outcomes for individuals, families and communities in rural and remote areas of Australia. Nurses play a key role in disaster management which is complex and evolving.

Assignment question:

Using the previously selected disaster from assessment task 1, discuss the impact of that event on the health outcomes for individuals, families and the community. Include in your response, a discussion of two or three interventions used by rural and remote area nurses which contributed to the recovery of the individuals and families, resulting in improved health outcomes for the affected community
