1) Surveillance and crime control is about ‘techniques for identifying, classifying and managing groups assorted by levels of dangerousness’. 3) Haggerty and Ericson (2000) refer to several attributes of the ‘surveillant assemblage’. Please define the surveillant assemblage. Second, please describe how a ‘multi-agency partnership’ in national security or policing might be understood as a surveillant assemblage. Provide an example of a multi-agency national security or policing partnership in Australia to illustrate your response in detail, relying on the concepts from Haggerty and Ericson (2000). 4) O’Malley (2010) refers to ‘simulated justice’. What does this mean? How has ‘justice’ changed in the context of ‘telemetric policing’ that O’Malley describes? Provide an example to illustrate your argument. (300 Words, references not counted)
