Provide for your Action Development Plan draft. Your essay needs to be reflective of your work ready skills and should be approximately 1000 words (not including the plan). The essay should identify where your strengths and weaknesses are considering the four weeks with the Career Advisor. What do you need to do to improve your work ready skills to enable you to get the job that you want How will you develop these skills.

According to me while preparing for a particular task of making a career plan we need to identify or skills, what we have and are the skills that we need to develop within us. There are set of skills that are required for the efficiency of any task that we perform. The skills can be grouped in, technical skills and other allied skills that are not directly related to the tasks but do affect the efficiency of the tasks.

Technical skills can be learned through the training and development, while working for any particular tasks the authorities usually provide training to the employees so that their skills can be enhanced and they can perform the tasks in a better way with maximum effectiveness. I have learned the technical skills through training and development. For example to have an extensive knowledge of computer related skills I have attended classes for computer so that  I can learn and develop my computer knowledge that are often useful for various online tasks and will also be beneficial in the future (Jackson 2015).

The other skills that I want to develop, so that I can perform the tasks efficiently are, advanced knowledge of computer applications, especially, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, among other skills I have decided to learn French. For Advanced Excel and Microsoft Access knowledge, I have decided to get a private tutor who would teach me both Microsoft Excel and Access. The duration of the course is six months, after that I will take classes for French language. The duration of that course would be one year. I will develop management skills in me so that it can be beneficial for me. The managerial skill that are required for an organization are, leadership skills, good communication skills, problem solving skills, decision making skills, interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills and team work related skills Lussier and Achua 2015). Management skills are very essential for an organization because it ensures that there is perfect coordination in the tasks, among the employees, among the employees and the management. If the managerial skills used effectively while performing any task then there is a chance that the results will be very positive and the task will be successful. Managerial skills are such skills that are required in every task (Field 2017).

Through self-assessment, I have identified my skills; this assessment was very useful because it helped me indentifying my strengths and weaknesses. After identification of my existing skills and the skills that are needed to be developed I can use my strengths in getting positive results in the tasks and develop my weaknesses so that I so that it do not become hindrance while I perform. Like every individuals I also have certain good attributes, which are my strengths and negative attributes. The strengths I have contribute in my success and the weaknesses I have often become a major constraint while performing tasks.

Strengths

According to me I am a very responsible person, I realize my responsibilities in both professional and personal life. I am a quick learner; learning new things have always excited me. I have taken great pleasure in learning new subjects and finding extra information about any particular topic, other than what has been taught in the class. I like reading book, mostly informational books, this has helped me in gaining knowledge. I daily read informational books to gain knowledge, so I think I am very knowledgeable and hence according to me it is one of my strengths. Writing skill is one my strong point, my written communication is very strong and I have been writing small essays on various topics daily.

My oral communication is also very strong; I am good at public speaking and have good oral presentation skills.  Some of my management skills are very good, like I have problem solving skills, that help me find out solutions of difficult problems which are not necessarily task related. I do not panic in emergencies, I am very patient and have the ability to be calm and not lose my temper in difficult and stressful situations. I have a very positive attitude towards things and situations which has helped to deal with all sorts of difficult situation.  I have good analytical abilities and have critical thinking abilities, which help me taking wise decisions, so my decision-making skills are also very effective. I believe in team spirit and have always tried to build good interpersonal relation with my teammates so that I face less coordination related issues with my teammates.

Weakness

Some weaknesses that I have identified within me often become a barrier to effective task delivery. One of my drawbacks is that my computing skills are not so good; I often have to use calculators to do minor calculations. Some of my management skills are poor, my leadership skills are not good. I have found myself struggling to be strict on people, I find it very difficult to confront people, I get too much involved in to the problems of other people, which often causes problem for me because I tend to be emphatic to them and often taken overlook their mistakes.

The leadership style used by me is often not effective and hence there are many problems when I am given the responsibility to lead a particular group. I am not much skilled in delegating tasks because I do not have much experience in delegating tasks to anyone. Another of my weaknesses is that I am too honest and often fail to be manipulative and diplomatic in situations that demand me to be manipulative and diplomatic.

I have identified my strengths and weaknesses, I am planning to strengthen my strengths more and for making and have been taking personality, development classes for development for managerial skills. I have planned to develop my technical and education related skills with the help of online and tutorial classes. I have also bought a number of books so that I can develop my skills, both managerial skills and technical skills.
